America is the Real Terrorist
(1) Illegal occupation of two sovereign nations based on (a) trumped up human-rights abuses all the while committing their own in Abu Ghraib, Gitmo, and over European skies; and (b) intentionally fabricated evidences of hitherto undiscovered weapons of mass destruction.
(2) Funding terrorist organizations in Sudan and Iran.
(3) Providing military intelligence and weaponry to Ethiopia in its illegal invasion of the Islamic State of Somalia which was established with the fullest consent of the people.
All of these crimes and more have been committed by the imperialist beast known as America. Of course, such information should come to any surprise given its track record for genocide and dispossession of the Native Americans; enslavement and humiliation of Africans; war against religious minorities such as the Mormons; not to mention a whole lot of ‘not-so-democratic-CIA-activity-to-fight-the-big-bad-Reds.’
Every time America invades or bombs another country, people get all shocked and act surprised as if it was something that was unusual. What they don’t realize is that this country is deeply ingrained with messianic violence. Many of the condemnations against Islamic terrorists are equally applicable to this country. However, blinded by their zealotry and fanaticism, they can’t see that the true source of terror in the world is their own belief system and government.
Thus, it should come to no one’s surprise that the current presidential candidates, irrespective if they are democratic or republican, are boasting of how barbaric each of them would be if elected emperor of oppression against the world in 2008.
- Hillary Clinton has opened up the nuclear option on the war on terror, never mind the fact that using such weapons would violate international law as well as common sense since terrorist cells do not operate with the consent of their host state. What if a terrorist cell spawned in Canada, would Clinton use nukes against our northern neighbors? The logical answer would be ‘no’, but logic isn’t operating here. Blind fanatical patriotism is the driving force in this upcoming farce of an election.
- Barack Obama vowed to attack “terrorists” in Pakistan, violating its sovereignty in the process. He has no proof that any such terrorists are in Pakistan, but is willing to blow it up just to be on the safe side.
- Tom Tancredo has vowed to attack the two holiest sites of Makkah and Madinah as retaliation for potential terrorist attack. This one gets the icing on the cake. If Tom Tancredo is idiotic enough to attack Makkah and Madinah, then America and its stooges will be in for the rudest awakening of its life.
What these fools do not understand is that victory does not come from rhetoric or technology or wealth. There were many nations, just as great if not greater than America, before that boasted of their power and each and every single one was annihilated. The only thing that remains of them are their bones and dust that fill up museums. Allah
(subhana wa ta’ala) has warned us with many examples from the past of such nations and has instructed humanity not to be fooled by all of this false bravado in Surah Fussilat:
9. Say: Is it that ye deny Him Who created the earth in two Days? And do ye join equals with Him? He is the Lord of (all) the Worlds.
10. He set on the (earth), mountains standing firm, high above it, and bestowed blessings on the earth, and measure therein all things to give them nourishment in due proportion, in four Days, in accordance with (the needs of) those who seek (Sustenance).
11. Moreover He comprehended in His design the sky, and it had been (as) smoke: He said to it and to the earth: “Come ye together, willingly or unwillingly.” They said: “We do come (together), in willing obedience.”
12. So He completed them as seven firmaments in two Days, and He assigned to each heaven its duty and command. And We adorned the lower heaven with lights, and (provided it) with guard. Such is the Decree of (Him) the Exalted in Might, Full of Knowledge.
13. But if they turn away, say thou: “I have warned you of a stunning Punishment (as of thunder and lightning) like that which (overtook) the ‘Ad and the Thamud!”
14. Behold, the apostles came to them, from before them and behind them, (preaching): “Serve none but Allah
.” They said, “If our Lord had so pleased, He would certainly have sent down angels (to preach). Now we reject your mission (altogether).”
15. Now the ‘Ad behaved arrogantly through the land, against (all) truth and reason, and said: “Who is superior to us in strength?” What! did they not see that Allah
, Who created them, was superior to them in strength? But they continued to reject Our Signs!
16. So We sent against them a furious Wind through days of disaster, that We might give them a taste of a Penalty of humiliation in this life; but the Penalty of a Hereafter will be more humiliating still: and they will find no help.
17. As to the Thamud, We gave them Guidance, but they preferred blindness (of heart) to Guidance: so the stunning Punishment of humiliation seized them, because of what they had earned.
18. But We delivered those who believed and practised righteousness.
19. On the Day that the enemies of Allah
will be gathered together to the Fire, they will be marched in ranks.
20. At length, when they reach the (Fire), their hearing, their sight, and their skins will bear witness against them, as to (all) their deeds.
21. They will say to their skins: “Why bear ye witness against us?” They will say: “(Allah
) hath given us speech,- (He) Who giveth speech to everything: He created you for the first time, and unto Him were ye to return.
22. “Ye did not seek to hide yourselves, lest your hearing, your sight, and your skins should bear witness against you! But ye did think that Allah
knew not many of the things that ye used to do!
23. “But this thought of yours which ye did entertain concerning your Lord, hath brought you to destruction, and (now) have ye become of those utterly lost!”
24. If, then, they have patience, the Fire will be a home for them! and if they beg to be received into favour, into favour will they not (then) be received.
25. And We have destined for them intimate companions (of like nature), who made alluring to them what was before them and behind them; and the sentence among the previous generations of Jinns and men, who have passed away, is proved against them; for they are utterly lost.
26. The Unbelievers say: “Listen not to this Qur’an, but talk at random in the midst of its (reading), that ye may gain the upper hand!”
27. But We will certainly give the Unbelievers a taste of a severe Penalty, and We will requite them for the worst of their deeds.
28. Such is the requital of the enemies of Allah
,- the Fire: therein will be for them the Eternal Home: a (fit) requital, for that they were wont to reject Our Signs.
29. And the Unbelievers will say: “Our Lord! Show us those, among Jinns and men, who misled us: We shall crush them beneath our feet, so that they become the vilest (before all).”
30. In the case of those who say, “Our Lord is Allah
., and, further, stand straight and steadfast, the angels descend on them (from time to time): “Fear ye not!” (they suggest), “Nor grieve! but receive the Glad Tidings of the Garden (of Bliss), the which ye were promised!
31. “We are your protectors in this life and in the Hereafter: therein shall ye have all that your souls shall desire; therein shall ye have all that ye ask for!-
In these verses, Allah
(subhana wa ta’ala) reminds us that He is the Creator. He has made this whole universe and everything within it, including specific resources for specific peoples for a specific duration of time. The powerful nations do not realize that it is not of their own making that they are powerful. It is by the Mercy, Knowledge, Will, and Power of Allah
(subhana wa ta’ala) that they have acquired this temporary domination. It is important to remember that such domination is ultimately a matter of perspective. The era of the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah was politically negative for Muslims, but it was an era that lead to the total domination of Islam since it allowed Islam to spread. Similarly, in this so-called “War on Terrorism” the Muslims have been given the honors of (a) having their sins forgiven through suffering, or (b) becoming shuhadaa (martyrs), or (c) becoming mujahideen (fighters of jihad), or (d) becoming da’ees (callers to Islam). What a beautiful religion this is that even in times of suffering and hardship, there is benefit for the believers in this life and the next! Thus, domination and power is a matter of perspective. The kuffar who occupy Iraq and Afghanistan may be ‘victorious’ from Fox New’s perspective, but when they die, their abode will be hellfire if they do not reject Islam. Whereas the Muslims who die in those places with the intention to please Allah
(subhana wa ta’ala), they will be martyrs, one of the highest forms of victory! So do not be fooled by the propaganda machine which desperately tries to paint a bright picture of their current failures. If these people were victorious anywhere in the Ummah, then they wouldn’t need armies to do their bidding. The fact is that they’ve engaged in troop surges and more funding to the enemies of Islam illustrates that the Muslims are resisting and they are being successful in their resistance. So their is no real ‘victory’ of the West or America in any of the Muslim lands. Otherwise, they wouldn’t need their armies there. Their armies are there because they are failing, not because they are succeeding!
So Allah
(subhana wa ta’ala) in this Surah reminds these oppressors that He created them and the resources and the ability to become powerful. They ask “who is stronger than us?” and Allah
(subhana wa ta’ala) responds “I am.”
So if these fools want to attack the house of Allah
(subhana wa ta’ala) and the masjid of the Prophet (sallahu alayhi wa sallam), let them. They are inviting themselves to utter destruction in this life and the next if they want to challenge Allah
(subhana wa ta’ala) just like Iblis challenged Him and was branded a kaffir by Him and will be punished in the lowest level of Hellfire.
Allah
(subhana wa ta’ala) sent the same warning to the people of Quraysh that the true source of their wealth and power was only due to the mercy of their Creator and they should give thanks to Him and worship Him alone and not associate partners with Him and obey His Prophet (sallahu alayhi wa sallam):
1. For the covenants (of security and safeguard enjoyed) by the Quraish,
2. Their covenants (covering) journeys by winter and summer,-
3. Let them adore the Lord of this House,
4. Who provides them with food against hunger, and with security against fear (of danger).
Just like Surah Quraysh is a warning to those in power, Surah al Feel is one as well and secretly gives good news to the believers as well:
1. Seest thou not how thy Lord dealt with the Companions of the Elephant?
2. Did He not make their treacherous plan go astray?
3. And He sent against them Flights of Birds,
4. Striking them with stones of baked clay.
5. Then did He make them like an empty field of stalks and straw, (of which the corn) has been eaten up.
The beautiful thing about this Surah is that it was purely through the Might and Will and Power of Allah
(subhana wa ta’ala) that the Ka’ba was protected. The following is an excerpt form Tafseer ibn Kathir concerning this surah.
“Abrahah sent an emissary named Hanatah Al-Himyari to enter Makkah, commanding him to bring the head of the Quraysh to him. He also commanded him to inform him that the king will not fight the people of Makkah unless they try to prevent him from the destruction of the Ka`bah. Hanatah went to the city and he was directed to `Abdul-Muttalib bin Hashim, to whom he relayed Abrahah’s message. `Abdul-Muttalib replied, “By Allah
! We have no wish to fight him, nor are we in any position to do so. This is the Sacred House of Allah
, and the house of His Khalil, Ibrahim, and if He wishes to prevent him (Abrahah) from (destroying) it, it is His House and His Sacred Place (to do so). And if He lets him approach it, by Allah
, We have no means to defend it from him.’‘ So Hanatah told him, “Come with me to him (Abrahah).” And so `Abdul-Muttalib went with him. When Abrahah saw him, he was impressed by him, because `Abdul-Muttalib was a large and handsome man. So Abrahah descended from his seat and sat with him on a carpet on the ground. Then he asked his translator to say to him, “What do you need” `Abdul-Muttalib replied to the translator, “I want the king to return my camels which he has taken from me which are two hundred in number.” Abrahah then told his translator to tell him, “I was impressed by you when I first saw you, but now I withdraw from you after you have spoken to me. You are asking me about two hundred camels which I have taken from you and you leave the matter of a house which is (the foundation of) religion and the religion of your fathers, which I have come to destroy and you do not speak to me about it” `Abdul-Muttalib said to him, “Verily, I am the lord of the camels. As for the House, it has its Lord Who will defend it.” Abrahah said, “I cannot be prevented (from destroying it).” `Abdul-Muttalib answered, “Then do so.” It is said that a number of the chiefs of the Arabs accompanied `Abdul-Muttalib and offered Abrahah a third of the wealth of the tribe of Tihamah if he would withdraw from the House, but he refused and returned `Abdul-Muttalib’s camels to him. `Abdul-Muttalib then returned to his people and ordered them to leave Makkah and seek shelter at the top of the mountains, fearful of the excesses which might be committed by the army against them. Then he took hold of the metal ring of the door of the Ka`bah, and along with a number of Quraysh, he called upon Allah
to give them victory over Abrahah and his army. `Abdul-Muttalib said, while hanging on to the ring of the Ka`bah’s door, “There is no matter more important to any man right now than the defense of his livestock and property. So, O my Lord! Defend Your property. Their cross and their cunning will not be victorious over your cunning by the time morning comes.” According to Ibn Ishaq, then `Abdul-Muttalib let go of the metal ring of the door of the Ka`bah, and they left Makkah and ascended to the mountains tops. Muqatil bin Sulayman mentioned that they left one hundred animals (camels) tied near the Ka`bah hoping that some of the army would take some of them without a right to do so, and thus bring about the vengeance of Allah
upon themselves.
When morning came, Abrahah prepared to enter the sacred city of Makkah. He prepared the elephant named Mahmud. He mobilized his army, and they turned the elephant towards the Ka`bah. At that moment Nufayl bin Habib approached it and stood next to it, and taking it by its ear, he said, “Kneel, Mahmud! Then turn around and return directly to whence you came. For verily, you are in the Sacred City of Allah
.” Then he released the elephant’s ear and it knelt, after which Nufayl bin Habib left and hastened to the mountains. Abrahah’s men beat the elephant in an attempt to make it rise, but it refused. They beat it on its head with axes and used hooked staffs to pull it out of its resistance and make it stand, but it refused. So they turned him towards Yemen, and he rose and walked quickly. Then they turned him towards Ash-Sham and he did likewise. Then they turned him towards the east and he did the same thing. Then they turned him towards Makkah and he knelt down again. Then Allah
sent against them the birds from the sea, like swallows and herons. Each bird carried three stones the size of chickpeas and lentils, one in each claw and one in its beak. Everyone who was hit by them was destroyed, though not all of them were hit.”
AbdulMuttalib was none other than the grandfather of the Prophet (sallahu alayhi wa sallam) and the year that this epoch-making event occured was none other than the year in which the Prophet (sallahu alayhi wa sallam) was born in as well!
Victory comes not from wealth or power or ideology, it comes from Allah
(subhana wa ta’ala). So let the kuffar plan until the election and after the election and whenever and wherever they want to. Nothing will come to fruit except by the Will of Allah
(subhana wa ta’ala) who says in the Qur’an in Surah al-Imran:
“54. And (the unbelievers) plotted and planned, and Allah
too planned, and the best of planners is Allah
.”
May Allah
(subhana wa ta’ala) raise up a leader from amongst us who will unite our Ummah and end this fitnah. Ameen.
