Bush Administration Lied 935 Times!
The Center for Public Integrity has compiled a list of all of the Bush Administration’s statements concerning the war on Iraq and has concluded that 935 of them were downright false. (Source) The beauty of the website is that it actually contains a searchable database that exposes contradictory statements so the viewer can see how glaringly the administration lied. Of course, this is but one of the many forms of propaganda a hegemonic power utilizes for its global agenda. Lets not forget that while in the U.S. the Bush Administration restricted itself to just lying in front of the entire country, in Iraq, they simply wrote the news themselves and planted stories favorable to the invasion in local newspapers. (Source)
The sheer volume of false statements indicates that the actions of the U.S. government were not accidental or mistaken. They indicate a systematic and deliberate distortion of facts in order to justify an invasion on the sovereign state of Iraq in violation of international law. This not a war on terrorism, but a war on the Iraqi people, their culture, their way of life, and to acquire their resources.
The U.S. government is committing a thousand 9/11’s against the Iraqi people and other nation’s of the world.
This type of violence is worse than terrorism. This type of propaganda is just as diabolical as the evils of the Nazis and the Soviet Union. This is not how a civilized, peaceful, purportedly democratic state behaves. This is how hegemonic corporate states hell bent on world domination behaves.
