The Battle of Pakistan Has Begun . . .
“They desire to extinguish God’s Light with their mouths. But God refuses to do other than perfect His Light, even though the unbelievers detest it.”
(Qur’an, 9: 32)
Seems like the war on terrorism has opened up on a new front in Pakistan. These four attacks were probably long in the making given Musharraf’s proclivity towards subverting the national interest of his country to Western exploitation and demands.
A suicide bomber attacked a military convoy near the Afghan border on Saturday, killing at least 24 Pakistani soldiers as thousands of troops deployed to thwart a call for an anti-government holy war.
Twenty-nine troops were also wounded in the attack, one of the deadliest suicide bombings in Pakistan in recent months, said Maj. Gen. Waheed Arshad. Elsewhere in the border region, Islamic militants detonated a roadside bomb and fired rockets on a military base. (Source)
Undoubtedly, the Zalimoon would love to see a new front opened there since it has historically served as a launching pad for other resistance movements, especially in Afghanistan and Kashmir. The most strategic option for the enemies of Islam would probably be to create a civil war scenario with a weakened military that would not be able to suppress the various insurgencies and would call on assistance from Western countries who would finally be given the long-waited permission to attack targets in Pakistan without impunity from anyone. This most likely would be accomplished through aerial bombing and special forces engaging in undercover operations.
May Allah
(subhana wa ta’ala) grant victory to the Ummah and suppress the enemies of Islam. Ameen.
While the media will undoubtedly refer to the upcoming conflict as a “civil war”, the truth of the matter is that this conflict that one is witnessing in the Muslim world has an external source, the West. The Clash of Civilizations scenario is becoming an everyday reality. Its sad that the Muslims have yet to wake up from their apathetic slumber and realize the true nature of the conflagrations erupting all over the Ummah. The “civil war” in Iraq, Somalia, Afghanistan, or soon to be in Pakistan are not caused by any internal problems by those people, but behind a power-hungry West that will commit any atrocity to protect its interests from being harmed by the upcoming challengers to capitalism (i.e. China and India). Its a mark of strategic genius to pit the two against one another and to separate China from its economic partners in Iraq, Sudan, and now Pakistan.

As someone noted to me a couple of days ago… “only the truth is fought this hard.” The West would not feel threatened but for the fact that this is the truth. If it were something silly or minor, it would be brushed off. Subhanallah.

I agree this is what Al-Qaeda and the Taliban are trying to do. What are Muslims supposed to do about this?

Talks about America’s contingency plans in case instability spreads in Pakistan…worth noting that this effort is a bipartisan effort (involving Repubs and Dems), so lets not think that Democrats will save the day for Muslims…

Solomon,
The enemies of Islam I was referring to were Western countries that have economic interests in Muslim lands and need to weaken the respective states that those resources exist within. The Taliban and Al-Qaeda are not viable threats to any Western power whereas Western powers have more destructive capability than all Muslim nations and groups combined. Moreoever, Western states have devoted more financial investment in destructive weaponry than any Muslim state and, unlike terrorist organizations, have killed more people in Iraq alone than the totality of all terrorist attacks.

What Pakistan fanatics and army did to Afghanistan was a shame. These terrorist need to be eradicated. Pakistan and Saudi Arabia must face the same cilil they caused for others with their spreading the doctrine of hate and intolerance . The Western nations is fact did not do much but watched saudi and pakistan spread terror and death evrywhere. Its time people start holding them accountable. I am glad at whats happening in saudi and pakistan. What goes around has to come around and the hypocrysy of these regimes who want to export radical islam everywhere yet enjoy US dollars. But the USA under Aipac’sgrip and they do not care about Al Qaeda or the Wahhabis but Hamas and Hezbullah and Iran and Syria. But now the terrorist are turning their backs on the hand that feeded them and now Pakistan and saudi are facing a wahhabi rebelion.
Good, let them reap what they sow.

Mohammed,
Your post was filled with contradictory assertions.
Firstly, the Lal Masjid people were not “Wahhabi” as you put it, but Deobandi. Deobandis are Maturidi in Aqeedah, Hanafi in Fiqh, and follow one of the four major Sufi tariqas. Wahhabis oppose schools of kalam and Sufi tariqas and practices and many of the classical opinions of the Hanafi madhab. Merely because someone opposes secularism doesn’t make them a “Wahhabi.” Moreover, the HAMAS is not Wahhabi either, they are Ikhwan al Muslimeen and are more influenced by the Salafi movement that has its origins with Syed Jamal ad-Deen al-Afghani (who was shia) and Mohammad Abduh and Rashid Rida (who were involved at al-Azhar university). Lastly, Hezbullah was not Wahhabi either, they are a revolutionary Shia organization.
Moreover, you gave absolutely no proof that the rebellions occurring all over the Muslim world were funded by Saudi Arabia or Pakistan. The people involved at Lal Masjid were mostly women and children or teenagers. They were not old enough to have been involved in the Soviet era jihad in Afghanistan, if thats what you are referring to.
Moreover, Wahhabism itself precedes the Saudi state. It existed before Saudi Arabia had oil wealth and was just as “militant” as it was then as it is now. Its childish and irrational to blame the resistance movements of today on events that occurred recently. These are long-standing religious and spiritual greivances against the world order because of imposed Westernization through exploitative policies and military interventions. The more people depict this conflict as a foreign affair, the more it will inflame itself because the root cause of the conflict is not being addressed.
I agree with one thing though: Western states have intervened too long and too deceitfully in Muslim polities. They are reaping a long-standing policy of exploitation and intervention. They are going to reap what they sow.
May Allah
(subhana wa ta’ala) grant victory to the Ummah. Ameen.

And who are the Ummah you are refering to?
Yes they are wahhabi, look at history and tell me since when were people calling for us to go back to the 7th century before the rise of wahhabism. As far as aqeedah is concerned they just claim that while they are in Pakistan due to the hanafi influence however they are with Abdul Wahhab.
Yes Pakistan has exported Islam of hate to Afghanistan, listen to Karzai’s accusation. You have no desire for Muslim mercy, you just desise the West and want to just look at their deeds and not muslims.
The Question of shariah died of a long time ago when sufism took over and dominated till the rise of wahhabism. True, many sufis do not publically state that but you will see throughout history they were secular and apolitical.
Abdul Wahhab was the 1st to stone a women to death in history after the 4 Caliphs. Sufis also tried to hide this fact because of fear of being accused of not caring about shariah yet we all know shariah was never implemented fully and never will. These wahhabis are chasing after a rainbow.
Everywhere they go they wreak havoc. You should weep for Afghanistan and Algeria and Iraq and keep your hands of these Islamist if I were you. But you are probably young and still heavy influence by anti Western feelings. The West is not perfect but neither are we, and at least the West help each other why we destroy each other. these people in the red mosques are the followers of Taliban and the West was around for 4 centuries in the Muslim world and they ruled the ara better than anyone did and certainly better thatn these Islamist wahhabis.
As far as jamal Al Deen and Rida, yes they were reformist first but later Rida turned to Ibn Taymiya and became salafi in the 40s. Rida was a hadith reformist and today would probably have been labelled an apostate. Who voted for Karzai and Noor Al Maliki? Did they not ask the Americans to stay? Did not the population elect them. you should not let your envy of the West make you unfair and appreciative of the public’s choice.
There is many things the West did, but ever since Abdul Wahhab stoned that women in Dar’iya in the late 1700s hell broke loose. These Islamist take things too far and all of them are the flowers of Abdul Wahhab’s seeds. Should read some history.
