The very structure of corporate media reduces its viewers to mindless zombies who are incapable of understanding complex ethical or political issues. If you want to know how the wealthy control America, then you should read this. The average American isn’t hostile to Islam, he’s just too dumbed down to understand anything about Islam besides what the Tube tells him. The Tube itself is controlled by the advertisement revenue it gets which ultimately comes from wealthy corporations who have the resources to subvert the democratic process to their own ends.

It reminds me of Jihad v. McWorld by Benjamin Barber, who argued that capitalism was subverting democracy.
